Golam Murshed, born in September 1956— is one of the most celebrated Lyricists of BANGLADESH with a number of popular songs of the era and that he represents Geetikobi Shangha (Lyricist Association of Bangladesh) as the Vice President. He is one of the founder members of cultural forum “Akash Pradeep”.

As to his academic background, he completed his Masters in Management in 1980 from the University of Dhaka. During his University life, he was actively involved in a university-based cultural forum named “SRIJON” where he represented as the Vice President. In the mid 80’s, he successfully completed the French Language Course from Alliance Francaise de Dhaka and that during the time, he was the Cultural Secretary of the said institute.

Along his creative career, he is one of the pioneers of Garments Manufacturing and Export Industries of Bangladesh. With his entrepreneurial and leadership qualities, he dated back in early part of 1986, established a number of export oriented garments factories in the name of BABYLON GROUP, where he represented as the Managing Director. At present, he represents a number of business concerns having activities in multifarious areas in Momen Apparels Ltd., an export oriented cap manufacturing factory (Chairman), Level3 Carrier Ltd, International Internet Gateway which is a telecommunication business (Director).

Golam Murshed is the Charman of Gaanjanala Limited.
